The show must go on(line)! Following
Leigh Folk Festival's cancellation this
summer due to COVID-19, the UK's largest free folk music festival departed the
cobbled streets and sandy beaches of Leigh-on-Sea and found a temporary home
streaming online on YouTube and Facebook. Musicians, storytellers and dancers
joined force to put on a show resulting in efforts raising thousands of pounds
for three local charities supporting those in need during the economic decline
of the nationwide lockdown -
Leigh Folk Arts Association,
Help Musicians and
Southend Emergency Fund.
To show my support I worked on the design and production of the livestream to
create stream assets including title cards, donation prompts, logo idents, artist nameplates and
making the lino print illustrations come to life through digitalisation and animation.
